Advent 3 – A Slow Joy – Zephaniah 3:14-20

To a people who had known the pain of exile, violence, and oppression, a young prophet writes of a vision of impending doom and then, surprisingly, commands them to sing out loud and rejoice in the Lord’s presence. On this third Sunday in Advent, we are invited to cultivate joy even in the bleakest of circumstances.
