Pentecost 17 – My little mouth – James 3:1-12

It’s strange to think what power resides within our mouth – power to bless or curse, build up or tear down, speak life or death. James 3 brings an interesting perspective to Jesus’s conversation with Peter as he reveals that he is the Messiah who will die to bring life to the world and Peter, in turn, tries to persuade him to find another way. Join me on this exploration of how we might walk together as fragile and vulnerable human beings who can speak life to another.
